About the Role:
Fern Creek Dental in Louisville, KY is looking for a friendly and organized Patient Coordinator to be the welcoming face of our practice! In this role, you'll play a vital part in creating a positive patient experience from the very first phone call to the final checkout. Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients, ensuring a warm and professional front desk experience
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using dental practice management software
- Verify dental insurance benefits and process claims accurately and efficiently
- Collect co-pays, present treatment plans, and discuss patient financing options
- Answer incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and manage voicemails promptly
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the day
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience in a dental, medical, or healthcare front office setting preferred
- Familiarity with dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar)
- Knowledge of dental insurance verification and billing processes is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Proficient in basic computer skills including scheduling and data entry
- High school diploma or equivalent required
